Oryukdo Island was selected as No. 24 national recognized cultural Heritage on October 1, 2007.
Six rocky islands stretch side by side from north to south-east of Busan Bay.
These islands are all uninhabited except for the lighthouse island.
The name of these islands, O, Ryuk, and Do, means 5, 6, and islands.
The name comes from the fact that the islands are six peaks in the east and five peaks in the west.
